4 more in New Hampshire die of COVID-19 as hospitalizations rise
Four more Granite Staters have died of COVID-19 as hospitalizations for the coronavirus in New Hampshire rose to their highest point since late January.
State health officials said one person younger than 60 and three people age 60 or older died of COVID-19. There have been 1,543 deaths attributed to COVID-19 in New Hampshire since the pandemic began.
Current hospitalizations rose to 218, the most since Jan. 28.
Active cases fell by 165 cases Friday, to 4,684, which is still higher than any point last week.
Officials said there were 418 new positive test results Thursday, along with 115 additional cases from previous days. Of the newly announced cases, 26.6% were in children under the age of 18.
