MADRID April 22. 2024 (Saba) - Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares on Monday called for a permanent ceasefire, with the risk of the Zionist enemy army invading Rafah.
Ahead of a meeting of EU foreign ministers in Luxembourg, Albares also demanded that all land points be opened once and for all to provide aid to civilians in Gaza.
Recognition of a Palestinian state is absolutely necessary if we want a political solution to the situation in the Middle East.
Albares noted that a two-state solution means making peace final and irreversible and avoiding the ongoing cycles of violence.
Albares warned of the spillover of the conflict into Lebanon, saying: "The possibility of the conflict spreading to Lebanon worries us because its dimensions will change and because Lebanon is a fragile and tense state."
