A Manchester, New Hampshire, woman is facing multiple charges after she was arrested for driving her SUV more than 100 mph with her unbuckled children inside.
On Friday night at around 9:15 p.m., a New Hampshire State Trooper observed 23-year-old Shirley Stanley driving a Chevrolet Tahoe while traveling at a high rate of speed, at one point reaching a speed of 112 mph, while weaving in and out of traffic on Route 101.
When the trooper stopped the SUV, he found two children, ages 1 and 4, inside the vehicle who were not buckled or secured with any type of child restraint system.
Stanley was charged with reckless operation, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, two counts of violating required child passenger restraints, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, unsafe lane change, following too closely, and speeding.
Stanley was released on personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to appear in court on June 10 in Candia District Court.
