Pope’s offer to host Russia-Ukraine peace talks, receives global backing

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni announced on Monday that Pope Leo XIV’s offer to host peace talks between Russia and Ukraine at the Vatican has received broad international support.
In a statement, Meloni said the proposal was positively received during a recent call between United States President Donald Trump and several European leaders.
