News
Hotel and Resort Design South conference

Hotel and Resort Design South (HRDS) has announced its 2025 content schedule. Now in its third year, experts from notable brands such as Hilton, Marriott International, IHG, and others will gather on stage to share their insights, analyses, and trend forecasts.

This accredited conference is scheduled for 3 & 4 June 2025 at the Miami Beach Convention Center, co-located with the Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo Americas and the Cruise Xperience Innovation Summit.

The HRDS content schedule covers various topics, from exploring effective strategies to align conflicting stakeholder needs during the conversion process to embracing the evolving wellness trend.

It features conferences like Shared Horizons, which promotes collaborative thinking across hospitality design disciplines, and the keynote session titled Leaders Debate – What’s the value brands are bringing to different regions across Southern States and CALA?

The HRDS conference is IDCEC-accredited, allowing attendees to earn credits towards their required professional development hours.

Panel discussions and intimate conversations

Alongside the panel discussions in the HRDS lounge, attendees can join intimate conversations with design experts from top hotel brands and procurement firms. These hybrid networking and content sessions will reveal insights into brand strategies, procurement practices, and how they are evolving their identities.

Upcoming sessions include the GMBHA Lunch & Learn with Six Senses, a Meet the Brand session with Mitch Parker, COO of the FF&E Division and partner at The Parker Company, as well as the NEWH Lunch & Learn, which includes Johnathan Garrison, vice president of luxury brands, global design for the US and Canada at Marriott International.

Other notable speakers are Alex Mai, regional vice president of development for Latin America & Caribbean at IHG Hotels & Resorts; Kavitha Iyer, vice president of architecture and design at Choice Hotels; Jessica Shea, vice president of wellness, retail, and leisure operations at Hilton; Nate Siehr, principal at The Big Key Group; and Paul Bishop, founder of Bishop Design.

HRDS is co-located with CSI Americas, the world’s only exhibition and conference focused solely on linking buyers and suppliers within the cruise design industry.

The newbuild order book has expanded by approximately 50% during 2024 and the initial quarter of 2025, making the cruise ship interiors sector as promising as hospitality interiors. This premier event includes an informative conference centred around interior design and guest experience, content-driven networking opportunities and more than 300 exhibitors skilled in various aspects of hospitality design.

CSI has also announced the content schedule for Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo Americas (CSI Americas) 2025 and for the first-ever Cruise Xperience Innovation (CXI), taking place alongside CSI Americas 2025.
